It's getting rarer and rarer to get honest communication from companies as the larger corporations gobble them up. I really appreciate your open communication, thanks. And I've been a happy customer since Painter 1 and Designer 4, buying new versions whenever they come out for quite some years now, even if the new features didn't excite me as much as they used to. The moment Substance Designer and Painter move to a subscription model only, I'll stick to whatever latest version I own up to that point. I've already cut down on services in that list in the past week. That point probably has been reached for me with Photoshop, which I only still have, because I would have had to pay a huge penalty, which I REALLY wasn't happy about, considering I mostly use other programs now to do the same stuff.Ĭalculating how much I've spent gives me the shivers. What ends up happening is that I turn the subscription off, never to return. Subscription models stress me out a LOT nowadays, because I start them and forget, only to be reminded half a year later that I've bought something I barely used. I'm already paying for Netflix, Photoshop, a server me and my friends play on, Skillshare, Nebula and Curiositystream (Yes, the last two separately) I'm a person that has gotten extremely tired of all subscriptions. ![]()
